I’m personally against public screenings (unless it’s a movie theater). I want people to be able to watch our stuff in the best, most efficient way possible. There is nothin’ more intimate than your computer screen. Regardless, the show went on!
Chief:Premiering the product was the easiest part of everything. Upon seeing the final cut there were some changes that needed to be made and issues to be sorted that the rest of the world will never know about. That’s whats great about filmmaking and most art in general, the creators dictate what is to be received. We held an intimate screening at a classy bar in Ottawa. I was slightly nervous throughout the screening I spent most of the time looking at peoples reactions at certain scenes since I had already seen it. At the end of the screening the reception seemed to be positive.
My advice to other filmmakers would be stick to your vision and the message you intended to convey to the audience, be prepared for variable changes at any point in filming & remember every release is just a stepping stone for the next.Watch POSER right now.
